ইউএসবি(USB) ফ্ল্যাশ ড্রাইভ, যা থাম্ব(thumb) ড্রাইভ বা মেমরি স্টিক(memory stick or Pen drive ) নামেও পরিচিত, এটি আপনার ফাইল সংরক্ষণ এবং স্থানান্তর করার একটি সাশ্রয়ী এবং সুবিধাজনক উপায়। এই ক্ষুদ্র ডিভাইসগুলির নেতিবাচক দিক হল যে তা সহজেই হারিয়ে বা চুরি হয়ে যেতে পারে, এবং ফ্ল্যাশ ড্রাইভের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ তথ্যগুলিও চুরি হয়ে যেতে পারে । ফ্ল্যাশ ড্রাইভগুলি কখনও কখনও ম্যালওয়্যার(malware) আক্রমণের জন্যও দায়ী যা আপনার ফাইলগুলিকে ধ্বংস করতে পারে বা আপনার অন্যান্য ডিভাইসেও ছড়াইতে পারে ৷ আপনার ফ্ল্যাশ ড্রাইভ এনক্রিপ্ট(encrypt) করা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ যাতে আপনার ফাইলগুলি সুরক্ষিত থাকে।
কিভাবে একটি ফ্ল্যাশ ড্রাইভ উইন্ডোজ এ এনক্রিপ্ট(encrypt) করবেন?
উইন্ডোজ এর ক্ষেত্রে নিম্ন স্টেপ গুলো অনুসরণ করতে পারেন । বিঃ দ্রঃ টেস্টিং এর জন্য বা যারা নতুন তারা দয়া ডাটা গুলি ব্যাকআপ নিয়ে চেষ্টা করুন ।
➡️ Plug your flash drive into a USB port of your Windows computer.
➡️ Click File Explorer. If you can’t find it, simply press the Windows logo key + E on your keyboard.
➡️ Right-click your flash drive and select BitLocker, then turn BitLocker on. Next, wait for BitLocker to start.
➡️ Choose a password that you’ll use to unlock your flash drive.
➡️ Choose how to save your recovery key. The recovery key will let you recover the information on your flash drive in case you forget the password for your flash drive.
➡️ Select what data you want to encrypt. You can select the entire drive or the used disk space only.
➡️ Click “Start Encrypting.” Keep your flash drive plugged in for this entire process.
You’ll receive a notification when the encryption process is complete. Once you receive this notification, it is safe to remove your flash drive from the computer.
